2020 COVID-19 CAMPSITE PROCEDURES

Phase One

(Updates are in Bold)

 

1)The procedures listed below will be put in place for the 2020 Season amid COVID-19. This is a day to day working plan until we get clearance to go back to normal operations, which could mean end May/end Jun/end Jul and even end Aug. MLCS Registrations will continue to be collected and the final date for payment is still 31 May 2020. In the event that our Private Campsite is permanently closed, you will have an option to be refunded your fees for this year or use it for your payment for next year. Anyone not wishing to use the campsite at all this season will still have to pay their Registration Fee or give up their site. The 10 night rule will be lifted, so no sign in/out procedure for this season and this is to further enhance the social/physical distancing of 2 meter rule to reduce people traffic in the Concession.

 

2)Your personal campsite will be for Members and their families. The two meter rule may come into effect if the family member does not live with you. Cohort Families. Members of one household can partner with another family household to create a cohort family. This is an agreement to maintain physical distancing from everyone else. All members in a cohort must: be completely committed to practicing physical distancing from people outside the cohort family, be healthy and not show any COVID-19 symptoms, not have underlying medical conditions, not be at high risk (for example, seniors)  have not travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days

 

3)Each Member may have other Members into their site by invite only, social/physical distance of 2 meters still applies. Please respect the Member who does not want any visitors.

 

4)A limit of only five day campsites will be available for Reservations that are spaced apart from other sites and they are; 4, 8 and 10 Scenery Circle, 04 Kappa and 31 Maple Drive.

 

5)All Outhouses will be open on the condition that all campers, adults and children must take their own hand sanitizer and toilet paper to and from the outhouse. Outhouses will continue to be used to drain your trailers through the stand pipe provided.

 

6)The Beach Area will be open with very strict adherence to the social/physical distancing of 2 meters even while in the water. It will be self monitored by the user which will be an adult. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

7)No Parking is still in effect for all members at the North and South Boat launch areas, until 01 Jun 20 where they can be used by Members to park their vehicle and boat trailer while they are out on Marie Lake.

 

8)The playground will be open for all to use with a maximum gathering of 50 people. The 2 meter rule of physical distancing still applies when they are not with a family member. The playground equipment is still Off Limits.

 

9)No large gatherings max 50 people and social/physical distancing of 2 meters applied. Work parties (max 50) For our campsites events in Jun/Jul/Aug/Sep they are still planned however if the restrictions are not lifted they will be cancelled as required and you will be notified.

 

10)The Concession/Convenience Store will be open for one person at a time to enter, The bull pen area will be limited to a max of 5 people including the Concessionaire, again maintain your social/ physical distance of 2 meters.

 

11)The Campsite is offically open. Some important dates are Internal moves 23 May 20/Open Sites for new Members off the Waiting List 30 May 20 and Lottery Draw 06 Jun 20.

 

12)Any Member who is sick/symptoms of a cold etc; are asked to stay at home until they have recovered.

 

13)Our MLCS website and MLCS Facebook will have updates regularly along with my Updates to all Members. All Members will sign a MLCS Acknowledge Form and turn them into the mailbox at the Concession, as acknowledgement of these MLCS 2020 COVID -19 Campsite Procedures. In addition to signing the Form that you as a Member can not hold the Campsite responsible for the wrong/bad choices you make. Adhere to all the procedures laid down by the MLCS Committee. Failure to comply could lead to eviction.
